The journalists at today’s leading geospatial publications have a front-row view of the constant changes driving survey, land, mapping, GIS and related industries.

In order to do their jobs effectively, these writers are typically some of the first people in the “trenches,” regularly involved in discussions with customers of all types and sizes, industry analysts and leaders representing the technology vendor sector. As a result, many of these journalists are often among the first to know about new geospatial trends, giving them a unique perspective on where things appear to be headed.

Trimble Dimensions will present an informative media panel, Technology Trends Impacting Geospatial, as part of our three-day conference in Las Vegas on Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Our moderated panel of journalists will provide attendees with a unique, inside look at how technology is transforming geospatial professions, the market requirements driving change and predictions for the future.

Participating journalists on the panel include:

  • Jason Foose, The American Surveyor  - Jason is a licensed land surveyor in Arizona, Colorado and Nevada. He serves as the County Surveyor of a northwestern Arizona county and also serves as the land survey member of the Arizona Board of Technical Registration.
  • Durk Haarsma - GIM International. Durk is director of strategy & business development and owner of Geomares, as well as publisher of GIM International. He has been working in business-to-business media for more than 20 years and is an avid follower of all developments in the sector.
  • Gavin Schrock, xyHt. Gavin is a practicing land surveyor (PLS), editor of xyHt Magazine and technology writer focused on geomatics sciences, GNSS, GIS, data management and remote sensing. He has been a practitioner in these fields for more than 30 years.
  • Perry Trunick, POB Magazine. Perry is editor of POB Magazine.
