Webinar 1: Trimble Alloy Basics — Realize New Levels of User Convenience
The Alloy GNSS reference receiver is different from any other in many ways. In the first webinar, available here, you will learn about the box itself. An all-new intelligent receiver design brings an unprecedented level of usability to GNSS reference stations. Featuring a tilted, four-line OLED screen, Trimble Alloy displays key information without the need for scrolling through multiple menus. Dual hot- swappable batteries, coupled with multiple power inputs (dual serial and dual LEMO ports), give users flexible installation options. Wi-Fi connectivity, multiple serial ports and remote access options allow users to configure the device easily, no matter how or where it’s installed.
Webinar 2: Best Practices in the Field — Simple and Successful Set Up for Absolute Position Monitoring
The second webinar in the series illustrates the simplicity of setting up your Trimble Alloy receiver. The integration of multipath mitigation technology in Alloy alleviates the challenges that trees, buildings and cell towers pose, allowing you to set up where you need to.
Additionally, Alloy leverages Trimble RTX™ precise point positioning technology, making it possible to derive its position at centimeter-level accuracy in real-time. Combined with Trimble's advanced Sentry™ monitoring technology, the receiver will automatically notify the operator of any status change including positional changes. This technology ensures users are receiving the most accurate correction data.
Webinar 3: The Technical Details — Spectrum Analyzer and Anti-Spoofing
Trimble Alloy delivers everything you need in a real-time network, and there are several capabilities to be activated as technology advances. In this third on-demand webinar, you’ll receive details about the spectrum analyzer including a demonstration on how to read it. A useful tool when you have a receiver that’s not performing well, but can’t determine why, the spectrum analyzer can troubleshoot the issue as well as provide data that will help you find a better location for your receiver. This can also apply to other receivers you may have that are having problems – put an Alloy in that position to see what is causing the issue.
Another feature of Trimble Alloy that is discussed in-depth is anti-spoofing. When people spoof a location (you could be at your office, but the spoofed location shows you in another country) this presents potential interference with GNSS receivers.
The technological advances continue with the ability to receive the BeiDou-3 constellation as well as future satellites when they are launched. Powered by the new Trimble Maxwell™ 7 GNSS dual chipsets, Trimble Alloy tracks and processes all of today's current GNSS signals at data rates up to 100Hz and is designed to be ready for planned signals and systems. The receiver provides an industry-leading 672 channels for unrivaled GNSS constellation tracking including GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS, IRNSS as well as the full range of SBAS.
