The Trimble^® Connect^® Field Data extension streamlines cloud-based management of field data collected with Trimble Access™ software, adding new capabilities to secure and manage your field data, from collection to final delivery. The extension facilitates a connected workflow, enabling effortless cloud-based management, review and processing of your Trimble Access field data.

Automatic data safety and accessibility

Eliminate data loss concerns with the automatic cloud upload feature. Through the Trimble Access File upload settings, surveyors can ensure their field data is safely stored in the Trimble Cloud after collection by setting project data to be automatically uploaded as often as required.  This mitigates risks associated with physical controller damage or loss, safeguarding project progress. 

Simplified data management in Trimble Connect

With data securely stored in the cloud, accessing and managing your field data is straightforward through Trimble Connect web. The search and filter tools allow quick identification of the exact data package needed, based on criteria such as survey date, surveyor name, or custom tags applied during collection. This process eliminates the traditional inconvenience of data retrieval based solely on job names.

Streamlined review and quality assurance process

The platform enables direct in-cloud review of field data package properties, including coordinate systems and tags. Additionally, we have added the capability to review the customizable reports generated by Trimble Access for easier QA/QC checks—ensuring field data accuracy and readiness for processing.

Effortless data processing & assignment 

Once field data meets quality standards, assigning it to other users for processing in Trimble Business Center office software (TBC) or other design applications is straightforward. The TBC Connected Workspace feature allows direct access to cloud-stored data. For those utilizing third-party applications, downloading the necessary field data through Trimble Connect is simple.

Collaborative deliverable sharing

After processing, deliverable files can be uploaded back to Trimble Connect and shared with project stakeholders. Stakeholders can then use the Trimble Connect 3D Viewer to view deliverable files that have been shared with them.
