Trimble Forensics Software Releases: Capture, Reveal & ShowCase
December 2021 — The Trimble Forensics team is happy to announce the release of new Capture, Reveal and ShowCase software versions. Trimble Forensics Capture 3.7 The latest release of Trimble Forensics Capture includes new features such as: SX12 scanning total station focusable laser pointer functionality "Stakeout" routines using GNSS and robotic total stations Improved current position display when using a total station to make performing a stakeout less visually complicated
The latest release of Trimble Forensics Reveal includes new features such as: “Bullet Trajectory” tool improvements: An optional 3D rod object is now available to add to your scenes between two points or overlay on scanned rods. A rod caliber picker has been added with commonly used rod caliber dimensions. A rod angle field and “Rotation” section with horizontal and vertical angles adjuster have been added to the properties dialog. A transparency adjuster has been added to the “Cone of Possibility” and rod objects. A grade % field has been added to the properties dialog. Some items on the properties dialog have been repositioned to allow more focus on the trajectory properties and angles. CrashMath equations sources are now published within the Reveal software help (see CrashMath section) as well as on our Support web page. Reveal's warranty & subscription expiry notification system has been updated to also notify users with a perpetual Reveal license (dongle or network) when their warranty is near expiry or has expired. A top down image of your Reveal scene is now exported and displayed within the ShowCase mini-map window. The camera position for each view station created in Reveal is now retained in ShowCase eliminating the need for users to reset the desired viewpoint. A top down image of your Reveal scene is now exported and displayed within the ShowCase mini-map window. The View Stations “bubbles/orbs” can now be toggled on/off through the View Stations menu for a cleaner presentation view.
