WORLD NEWS 10 Spring 2019 10 USA | Pin Oak acquires land for terminal expansion P OTAC LLC (Pin Oak) has announced the acquisition of 236 acres near its terminal in Corpus Christi, Texas, US to further expand its operating capabilities. The newly acquired site is situated adjacent to the Kansas City Southern (KCS) main rail line and Corpus Christi railyard. The site can accommodate in excess of 10 million bbls of bulk liquids storage, as well as the construction and operation of a full unit train solution. Pin Oak plans to connect the site through a short distance pipeline to its main site on the Corpus Christi Ship Channel, offering its customers additional tank capacity, as well as rail loading/unloading capabilities through an operational Union Pacific connection and the KCS. Pin Oak's main terminal is currently under construction, with brownfield expansion of more than 2 million bbls of crude storage, all supported by long-term third-party customer contracts. The connection into the Gray Oak Pipeline is currently under construction and the terminal will be a necessary outlay for Permian and Eagle Ford crude. With this step, Hifa Petrol has become the owner of a fi fth terminal, besides those in Bukvi near Tešanj, Gruda, Mostar and Vogošca. The terminal in Ševarlije consists of two parts: a gas terminal with a capacity of 2.5 million l and an oil terminal with a capacity of 1 million l. The total storage capacity of Hifa Petrol for petroleum and petroleum products is 12.6 million l. Of this total, 9 million l is liquids, and 3.6 million l is gas. The terminals consist of aboveground and underground storage tanks, fi re protection facilities and free surfaces with access roads (road and rail). Poland | Polskie LNG obtains permits for terminal expansion P olskie LNG has obtained a set of environmental and location decisions for all projects implemented under the LNG Terminal Expansion Program. The environmental permits are fi nal, while the decisions issued by the Governor of Western Pomerania are immediately enforceable (which stems directly from the provisions of the Special Act on the LNG Terminal). The Expansion Program of President Lech Kaczynski's LNG Terminal is implemented as scheduled. Polskie's LNG Terminal will become a key facility contributing to the development of the LNG market not only locally, but also in neighbouring countries.
