A GIS manager creates a new project to capture and collect information for a customer requesting a report about biological species in a remote area they intend to work in. He prepares the individual tasks in TerraFlex and assigns an employee to perform the work.
The employee tasked with conducting a biological survey in a remote location receives the information via email on his TDC100 handheld. He uses TerraFlex to navigate to the work site.
Using TerraFlex, he receives the project and his tasks and starts the survey by connecting to an R1 receiver. He collects the data with sub-meter accuracy and adds photographs documenting the collected data using his TDC100 handheld.
Once completed and back within network coverage, the software uploads the collected data to the cloud and office staff can start working on the data and preparing the deliverables for the customer.
