Export Your Data With Confidence: Introducing the Trimble Terra Office Exporter

A new release of the Trimble® Terra™ Office desktop GIS software (version 23.1) is now available. Terra Office provides workflows for integrating field data collected using Trimble TerraFlex® field software into GIS systems-of-record.

Introducing CAD Exports with Terra Office Exporter

This release introduces an exciting new addition to the Trimble Terra Office software suite—the Terra Office Exporter—which brings CAD export capability to the TerraFlex data collection solution. This standalone app (which can be used without Esri® ArcGIS® software) augments the existing functionality in the web-based Trimble Connect Map Viewer and can be used to export data captured using TerraFlex to a variety of CAD and GIS file formats—all from the convenience of the desktop. Supported formats in this release include: 

  • DWG
  • DXF (with blocks)
  • Shapefile
  • CSV 
  • GeoJSON 

Within a selected TerraFlex project, users can apply a basic download filter and choose an export format. Files are generated locally and are immediately usable. Data can be exported from any TerraFlex project in the Trimble Connect cloud environment.

New Subscription Plan

The Terra Office Exporter is available with a new Terra Office subscription: Trimble Terra Office Basic. The existing Terra Office Standard subscription includes all Terra Office Basic capabilities and gives subscribers access to full-featured Terra Office add-ins for Esri ArcGIS for complete field data collection project management, QA and data integration.

Enhancements

The release also includes maintenance updates for both the Terra Office add-in for Esri ArcGIS Pro and the Terra Office add-in for Esri ArcMap®. Additional information about these updates is available in the Terra Office—Releases section of the Trimble Geospatial Help Portal.

Availability

The Trimble Terra Office Exporter is available now with a subscription license of Trimble Terra Office Basic or higher. Terra Office subscriptions are available through Trimble Geospatial Distribution Partners.
