Orthovista

Improved feature detection performance: The latest version of Inpho v14.1 delivers major improvements in feature detection performance. With the introduction of a new partitioning algorithm for feature detection, parallel processing is addressed. This feature allows processing of any block geometry, not just rectangular blocks. It also delivers significantly enhanced processing time for non-rectangular blocks.

Partitioning for non-rectangular blocks: Whereas the previous algorithm available in version 14.0 resulted in extended processing times, huge areas were being processed in one thread and the partitioning of a block stopped too early. In version 14.1 of Inpho the algorithm for partitioning a block has been revised and now applies specifically to non-rectangular blocks and delivers improved performance. It also reduces the need to manually partition blocks as this partitioning can now be picked up and ran automatically by the parallel processing algorithm.

MATCH-AT

The latest updates MATCH-AT are designed to improve performance, streamline workflows, and enhance overall user experience. From faster loading times and streamlined ground control point management to improved accuracy and compatibility with the latest imaging technology, these updates empower users to tackle complex geospatial challenges with confidence and efficiency.

Improved Loading Times in ApplicationsMaster and PMT: One of the significant improvements in the latest update is the enhancement of loading times in ApplicationsMaster and PMT. As projects continue to grow in size, thanks to advancements in camera and equipment technology, the ability to handle large amounts of data efficiently becomes paramount. With this enhancement, users can experience faster loading times, enabling them to work seamlessly on projects of any scale. Whether it's processing data for large-scale mapping projects or analyzing extensive aerial imagery, the improved loading times ensure smoother workflows and increased productivity.

Enhanced Ground Control Point Management: Another notable change is the removal of ground control points outside of the project area in the Project Editor. This enhancement streamlines the process of managing ground control point data, particularly for clients dealing with large geographical areas. By allowing clients to store ground control point data for nationwide areas in a single file, this update simplifies project management and enhances organizational efficiency. Users can now focus on refining project details within the designated area without being encumbered by unnecessary data, leading to more precise and accurate results.

Introduction of Unit Definition for Boresight Misalignment Angles: Precision is key in the field of geospatial analysis, and even minor errors can have significant consequences. The introduction of unit definition for boresight misalignment angles addresses this challenge by minimizing the risk of input errors when dealing with third-party values. By ensuring consistency and accuracy in data entry, this enhancement helps users avoid costly mistakes and maintain the integrity of their analyses. Whether it's calibrating aerial sensors or aligning imaging systems, having standardized unit definitions enhances overall workflow efficiency and ensures reliable results.

Tie Point Extraction extended to Shoreline Projects: In response to specific user needs, the latest update introduces tie point extraction for shoreline projects. While the previous algorithm for tie point extraction met general requirements, it was not optimized for shoreline projects, leading to suboptimal results. With this enhancement, users can now achieve more accurate and reliable tie point extraction, particularly in coastal regions where precise mapping is crucial. By tailoring algorithms to specific project requirements, this update enhances the quality of data analysis and facilitates more informed decision-making in shoreline mapping projects.

Enhanced Georeferencing Reporting: Effective project analysis depends on comprehensive and accurate georeferencing reports. The updated georeferencing report feature in MATCH-AT improves the analytical capabilities of ApplicationsMaster and PMT, providing users with valuable insights into project accuracy and alignment. By offering detailed metrics and visualizations, this enhancement enables users to identify potential discrepancies or areas for improvement, ultimately enhancing the overall quality and reliability of geospatial analysis.

Extended Pixel Range for Minimum Point Distance: With advancements in imaging technology, pixel sizes continue to shrink, presenting new challenges in data analysis and processing. The extension of the pixel range for minimum point distance in MATCH-AT addresses this by adapting to smaller pixel sizes, ensuring compatibility with the latest imaging systems. By accommodating a wider range of pixel sizes, this enhancement allows users to leverage the benefits of cutting-edge technology without compromising on data accuracy or quality.

MATCH-T

The latest version of MATCH-T includes improved point cloud processing, and DTM (Digital Terrain Model) generation. In our latest update, we've focused on refining existing features and introducing enhancements to elevate your experience with MATCH-T.
Improved Calculation of Automatic 3D Border Line: We've enhanced the calculation of the automatic 3D border line, ensuring more accurate results for your projects. This improvement enables smoother integration of point cloud data and enhances the overall quality of generated models and meshes.

Streamlined GUI Information Messages: To enhance usability and clarity, we've optimized GUI (Graphical User Interface) information messages, reducing clutter. This improvement streamlines your workflow, allowing you to focus on your project without distractions.
Better Matching Results for Images with Low Grey Value Range: Our latest update improves matching results for images with low grey value ranges, ensuring more accurate and reliable processing. This enhancement expands the applicability of MATCH-T to a wider range of datasets. Users can achieve high-quality results regardless of input image characteristics.

Improved Error Handling: In the event of footprint or Photo IO issue error messages, MATCH-T now continues processing without exiting, and the affected image is set to invalid. This improvement prevents workflow interruptions and enables smoother project execution.
Enhanced Oblique Handling: We've refined oblique handling in MATCH-T, adjusting the default oblique angle threshold and introducing additional options to influence the default handling of oblique and nadir views. These enhancements provide greater flexibility and control over oblique data processing, allowing users to tailor their workflow to specific project requirements.

MATCH-3DX

In the latest version of MATCH-3DX we’ve optimized the determination of oblique angles, elevating the threshold from 20 to 35 grad for increased accuracy and precision. This enhancement ensures that oblique data is handled with greater clarity, resulting in more reliable outputs for your projects.

Fine-tuned the workflow to provide more control over the usage of automatic Trimble 3D area borders. In scenarios involving 3D and 5.5D workflows, the automatic Trimble 3D area border is now deactivated, allowing users to tailor their approach to match their specific project requirement.

In cases where not all four footprint points exist, for oblique photos, the internal used footprints are projected to a 3D object plane parallel to the photo plane, enhancing the consistency and accuracy of data processing, ensuring seamless integration of oblique imagery into your projects.

The workflow or type (2.5D, 3D) now determines the usage of NADIR and OBLIQUE photos. By default, oblique photos are only utilized for the 3D workflow, offering greater flexibility and control over data utilization. Previously, this determination was only made in the case of multi-head projects, but now it's integrated into the broader workflow considerations, enhancing overall efficiency and usability.
