Trimble MX9 Data Applied to Pavement Management [G-1239]
Session Format: Computer Lab | Tuesday, Nov 7 |
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM PST
| Titian 2304

Market opportunities for MLS data applied to pavement assessment will be discussed. High level technical processes will explain how current Trimble MLS technology is integrated into a comprehensive pavement assessment workflow. Attendees will understand their strategic position within the current roadway condition assessment market. They will understand the value proposition of MLS data in this application, how to integrate this workflow into their current operations and effectively feed downstream pavement assessment database and management operations.

  • Objective 1: Expand MLS applications into the Pavement Management market
  • Objective 2: Educate on technical workflows for Pavement Assessment
  • Objective 3: Value proposition on feeding pavement management operations

Presenter: Mike Cook, Director of Applications and Product Management, Certainty3D

Fiber to the Home: A detailed overview of the specific tools and features for extracting utility centric data [G-1515]

Session Format: Computer Lab | Wednesday, Nov 8 |
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM PST | Titian 2304

Fiber To The ..... Home / Office / Factory and many other places is a sector that is growing immensely in the post pandemic world that we find ourselves in, as consumers drive the demand to be connected 24/7 from all over the world. Mobile mapping is playing a key role in the roll out of this infrastructure as the world gears up for this new way of living. This session will provide a detailed overview of the tools and features within the Trimble Mobile Mapping workflow that will help users extract the required data to fulfill the needs of the end users within this ever-evolving space.

Objective 1: Learn how to extract FTTx content from mobile mapping data
Objective 2: Learn how to identify / register FTTx attributes in imagery
Objective 3: Learn how to export data formats suitable for end clients

The Untapped Geospatial Potential of Fiber to the Home Market [G-1514]
Session Format: Breakout Session | Wednesday, Nov 8 | 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM PST | Titian 2205

Recent trends have shown how much high-speed, ubiquitous, and equitable internet access is vital to our economy, lives and livelihoods—and governments have responded with Fiber to the Home (FTTH) initiatives. Many engineering and services companies are considering how they meet the need to collect (geo)information for thousands of properties for a large-scale FTTH project to support planning, design and construction. To meet this challenge, companies are choosing geospatial technologies such as high accuracy GNSS, augmented reality and more and more mobile mapping technologies. This presentation looks at the growing need for large-scale data collection to support FTTH projects and the value adds new technology such as mobile mapping provide to generate a return on investment over a short period of time.

Objective 1: Demonstrate the growing need for mass data capture and documentation for Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) projects
Objective 2: Learn the basics of mobile mapping technology for rapid, mass data capture

Objective 3: Explore how mobile mapping technology brings significant return on investment for utility projects

From Handhelds to Mobile Mapping: Exploring Trimble's Data Collection Solutions for Every Project Stage [G-1522]
Session Format: Breakout Session | Wednesday, Nov 8 |
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM PST | Titian 2206

Trimble's portfolio of data collection solutions offer end users a plethora of different tools to use to gather asset inventory data across any project life cycle. Whether that be handheld data collectors, augmented reality devices or large scale mobile mapping systems, users have plenty of tools to choose from and sometimes the hardest decision is which device to use. This session will provide an overview of what different technologies are available and when, where and how to use them to maximum the output for you project.

  • Objective 1: Provide an overview of the MGIS & Mobile Mapping Portfolios
  • Objective 2: Identify the correct products for the correct projects
  • Objective 3: Showcase specific use case examples for the portfolios
